SPARK Social to Join Growing Creekside District

Opening Spring 2026, the new food truck park and community gathering space
is just a 5-minute walk from SAP Center and Diridon Station in San José

SAN JOSÉ, California February 12th 2026— The team behind SPARK Social SF, with more than 10 years of experience developing successful public-use spaces and food truck parks around the Bay Area, announced the upcoming launch of SPARK Social San José at Creekside. 

Located just a short walk from the SAP Center and Diridon Station, the new park will be open seven days a week and feature rotating food trucks, a full-service bar, a putt-course, fire pits, live music, and a robust year-round events calendar.  It is a vibrant destination built for connection and community among locals, commuters, and visitors alike. 

As the latest addition to the Creekside family, SPARK Social joins a curated community of local anchors. The district, which already hosts non-profits Local Color and Good Karma Bikes, recently expanded with the Creekside Art Corridor and Hapa’s Outdoor Beer Garden. SPARK Social San José will debut alongside a wave of 2026 newcomers, including Bay Padel, Found SJ, The Playground by HIIT School, and RFRD Canine Recreation Center.

“From day one, we wanted this space to become a true community hub where everyone can eat, drink, relax, and connect,” said SPARK Social’s cofounder, Ashlyn Badea. “Community has always been a cornerstone of our business. We wanted to be mindful to create a space that’s approachable and cost-effective, where people can show up as they are. Whether someone is grabbing coffee on the way to transit, meeting friends after a game, bringing their kids to play, stopping in with their dog, or celebrating a milestone, we want this to be the low-stress, go-to place to gather.”

Set to open in Spring 2026, SPARK Social San José will feature:

  • Entrepreneurial Opportunities: Dedicated space and support for local micro-entrepreneurs, businesses, and food truck operators to launch and grow their brands.
  • Nonprofits & Community Groups: A platform and amplifier for cultural programming and gathering. 
  • Entertainment: A large LED screen for sports watch parties and a stage for live music.
  • Family & Social Spaces: A secure play area for families and reservable semi-private spaces with shade and plush seating for celebrations of every kind.
  • Signature Events: San José versions of beloved Bay Area festivals, including Ube Fest, Latinas Forever, and The Cider Festival.

“Our goal has always been to bring people together while supporting the local economy,” said CEO Carlos Muela. “In San Francisco, SPARK served as a launching pad for small businesses like Señor Sisig, Al Pastor Papi, and Mestizo. They started as food trucks before opening their brick-and-mortars. We intend to continue that mission to uplift local entrepreneurs and help them grow in San José, while bringing the community together.”
