Eat Trill

4th of July! Free Admission!!

Eat Trill is a Music, Food, and Community festival in San Francisco dedicated to real people, real food, real music, and real community. Last year was our first annual event and we raised over $4,000 for the Homeless Youth Alliance to help them move into a new space.  This year we want Eat Trill to grow by having more food vendors, more artists, and more community groups tabling.

This will be our second year and it takes on an even more significant meaning with people of color, lgbqt, immigrants, Muslims, and the environment under attack. We will gather on the 4th of July to help create and spread a vision of what our community means to us.

If you would like to sell or table at the event, have any ideas, want to volunteer, or have general questions, please email info@eattrill.com or visit https://www.eattrill.com/

It Takes Guts: Get to Know Your Microbiome - A Night of Science & Trivia

Join KQED and the Gladstone Institutes for a special night of intriguing gut science, fun trivia and prizes hosted by Brainstormer!

What's your gut telling you? It might be hard to face but you are NOT entirely you! The majority of your cells in your body don't have your DNA. They belong to trillions of tiny microbes living in your stomach and on your skin, among other places. Collectively these microorganisms are called your microbiome. So what are these creatures living with you and how might they influence your body and mind?

Special Guests:
Jon Brooks, editor of KQED's health-tech blog Future of You
Katie Pollard, senior investigator researching the microbiome at Gladstone
Kat Snow, KQED's senior science editor
Plus, Brainstormer, the popular trivia contest hosts, will be running the trivia rounds!

Tickets and Seating:
- FREE, though SPACE IS LIMITED! Seating is first come, first served with proof of Eventbrite registration.
- Individuals are welcome. Ideal team sizes are 4-6 people. Brainstormer will facilitate team formation as guests arrive.
